Kristie M. Kawakami Wong

Senior Associate

Kristie M. Kawakami Wong is a Senior Associate at Amaro Baldwin LLP, based out of the firm’s Hawaii office. Ms. Kawakami Wong graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1998, where she served on the Southwestern Law Review and graduated magna cum laude.

Admitted to the California State Bar in 1998, and the Hawaii State Bar in 2003, Ms. Kawakami Wong's legal career spans over two decades and two states. Her practice is primarily based in the firm’s Hawaii office, where she advocates for a diverse clientele, including recreational operators involved in health studio facilities, trampoline parks, surfing, parasailing, jet skiing, horseback riding, and bicycling.

She is also experienced in complex law and motion and California Appellate practice. Her commitment to the legal community is further demonstrated by her service as an arbitrator in Hawaii’s Court Annexed Arbitration Program.

When she is not practicing law, Ms. Kawakami Wong enjoys hiking, traveling, volunteering at her twins' school, and supporting her twins varied co-curricular activities, such as her daughter's swim meets, and her son's Science Olympiad team. Ms. Kawakami Wong and her husband are also long-time Season Subscribers of Diamond Head Theater and 20+ years season ticket holders to University of Hawaii Men's Basketball.
