Kai Hsiao is an associate attorney Amaro Baldwin LLP. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of California, San Diego in 2005. In 2008, Ms. Hsiao received her Juris Doctorate from Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where she was a Merit Scholar.

Ms. Hsiao began her legal career in class action, employment litigation, business litigation, and entertainment law litigation, where she handled highly complex, multi-million dollar lawsuits involving well-known companies like Fox Studios, James Cameron, Bank of America, Countrywide, Wells Fargo, Express, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, and GameStop.

In 2012, Ms. Hsiao transitioned to workers' compensation defense and has since focused exclusively on defending employers in workers' compensation matters. She has extensive experience in litigating issues involving independent contractors, general and special employers, coverage, serious and willful misconduct, Labor Code 132(a) discrimination claims, and life pension.

Ms. Hsiao has experience representing a diverse range of clients including manufacturing companies, government entities, staffing agencies, restaurant chains, and small businesses. She has utilized her extensive litigation experience and educational background to develop discovery and litigation strategies to minimize exposure and encourage early resolution of claims.
