Job Type: Full Time/Hybrid- $140,000-$185,000 per year

We are a dynamic litigation defense firm with a strong reputation for representing clients in the amusement and retail industries, many of whom are self-insured. Our team is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney with experience in Insurance Defense, Civil Litigation and Workers' Compensation matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all phases of litigation including case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and trials throughout California
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda
• Work directly with clients and adjusters, maintaining strong, communicative relationships
• Collaborate with senior attorneys while also managing cases independently

Qualifications:

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• 2+ years of experience in workers’ compensation litigation
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience with case management software and legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw)
• Ability to handle a fast-paced caseload with a high level of autonomy and attention to detail
• A strategic thinker who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
